The Elle Collection is a curated group of three pet-friendly Houston apartment communities—Elle, Vie, and Plaza at the Medical Center—offering one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments and townhomes near the Texas Medical Center. All three communities share resort-inspired amenities, gated access, and an exclusive Texas Medical Center shuttle service.

The Elle Collection is located in the Texas Medical Center submarket of Houston, TX 77054. Elle at The Medical Center is at 8181 El Mundo Street, and the collection also includes Vie at the Medical Center (8300 El Mundo Street) and Plaza at the Medical Center (2727 Holly Hall Street) —all within a few minutes of the Texas Medical Center, NRG Stadium, Hermann Park, and the Houston Zoo.

The Elle Collection stands out for three reasons: (1) prime location in the heart of the Texas Medical Center within walking distance of major hospitals; (2) a choice of apartment or townhome floor plans across three sister communities, with attached garages in select homes; and (3) exclusive resident shuttle service to the Texas Medical Center plus resort-style amenities including three pools, three clubhouses, and a 24-hour fitness center.

Yes. The Elle Collection is a 100% smoke-free community. Smoking, including e-cigarettes and vaping, is prohibited inside all apartment homes, in common areas, and anywhere on the property.

Leasing and Application Process

You can schedule a tour at The Elle Collection three ways: click on book a tour, call us at (346) 519-7232, or stop by 8181 El Mundo Street during office hours. We offer in-person, virtual self-guided, and live video tours. Walk-ins are always welcome.

To apply for an apartment at The Elle Collection, you'll need: (1) a valid government-issued photo ID; (2) proof of income—pay stubs, offer letter, or tax returns; (3) a completed rental application; and (4) payment of the application and administrative fees. International students and applicants without U.S. credit history may be asked for additional documentation.

Applicants at The Elle Collection must have a gross monthly income of at least three (3) times the monthly rent. Credit is reviewed holistically—we evaluate the full credit profile, rental history, and any prior evictions rather than relying solely on a score. Applicants with limited credit history may qualify with a co-signer or additional deposit.

You can apply for an apartment at The Elle Collection online in three steps: (1) browse current availability on the floorplans page; (2) select your preferred apartment and click Apply Now; (3) complete the secure online application and pay the application fee. Most decisions are issued within 3-7 business days.


Yes. The Elle Collection offers short-term lease options (typically 3 to 6 months) for an additional short-term premium. Short-term leases are popular with medical residents, traveling nurses, fellows, and visiting researchers working in the Texas Medical Center.

Yes. The Elle Collection conducts standard credit, criminal background, eviction history, and rental history checks on all adult applicants (18+). All screenings are conducted in compliance with the Fair Housing Act and Texas law.

Pricing, Fees, & Deposits

Residents at The Elle Collection must establish electric service in their own name before move-in. The local delivery provider is CenterPoint Energy, but residents can choose any Retail Electric Provider (REP) such as Reliant, TXU, Direct Energy, or Champion. Bring proof of activated service on move-in day.

Residents at The Elle Collection are responsible for all utilities: electricity (chosen retail electric provider through CenterPoint delivery), water, sewer, gas (where applicable), internet, and cable. Trash is billed through a utility allocation system by the property each month. Refer to our Community Fee Guide located on the floorplans page for more details.

Rent at The Elle Collection is due on the 1st of each month and is considered late after the 3rd, with fees applied after the grace period. Residents can pay rent online through the secure resident portal .

Move-In, Lease Terms

On move-in day at The Elle Collection, please bring: (1) a valid government-issued photo ID; (2) proof of renter's insurance with the property listed as an interested party; (3) confirmation of electric service in your name (CenterPoint Energy is the local provider); and (4) payment of any remaining move-in funds.

The Elle Collection offers flexible lease terms ranging from 6 to 13 months. Pricing varies by length. 12-month leases typically offer the best monthly rate, while shorter terms carry a premium. Renewals are available 60 to 90 days before lease end.

Subletting is not permitted at The Elle Collection. Lease transfers (assignments) are allowed in most cases with management approval and a transfer fee. Submit transfer requests to the leasing office in writing at least 30 days in advance.

Residents at The Elle Collection must provide a 60-day written notice before move-out, even if the lease is set to expire. On move-out day, the apartment must be empty, professionally cleaned, and all keys/fobs/remotes returned. A final inspection determines any deductions from the security deposit; the refundable portion is mailed within 30 days as required by Texas law.

Amenities & Lifestyle

The Elle Collection offers a robust amenity package across its three communities: three resort-style swimming pools, three clubhouses with resident lounges, a 24-hour fitness center, outdoor grilling areas, courtyards with fire pits, gated access, an exclusive Texas Medical Center shuttle, pet-friendly green spaces, and onsite parking. The fitness center at The Elle Collection is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with fob-controlled resident access. The pools and clubhouses operate on posted hours—typically 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.—to comply with City of Houston pool regulations.

Yes, residents are welcome to reserve select amenity spaces for private events. To reserve a space or learn more about specific requirements, please contact the leasing office or submit a request through the resident portal. Our team is happy to assist you in planning your event and ensuring a smooth reservation process. 

Yes. Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the clubhouses, pool areas, and resident lounges. Residents are responsible for in-unit internet through their preferred provider—the community is wired for AT&T Fiber, Xfinity, and other major Houston-area carriers.

Yes. The Elle Collection offers onsite parking including covered, garage, and guest parking. Select townhomes at Plaza at the Medical Center include attached private garages. Parking assignments and any monthly fees are confirmed at lease signing. You can also reference our Community Fee Guide on the floorplans page

No, we do not offer EV charging stations onsite. However, the Texas Medical Center has many EV charging stations just a short distance from the community. 

Packages are delivered to resident's doors directly through the delivery service. 

Yes, we offer resident events throughout the year to foster community and provide opportunities for residents to connect and enjoy shared experiences. 

Accessibility

Yes. The Elle Collection complies with the Fair Housing Act, ADA, and Texas accessibility code. Accessible features include first-floor units with no-step entry, accessible parking spaces, accessible routes through common areas, accessible pool entry, and ADA-compliant clubhouse facilities. Reasonable-accommodation requests can be submitted to the leasing office. Please see our accessibility statement for more details.

Pets

Yes. The Elle Collection welcomes cats and dogs in all three of its properties (Elle, Vie, and Plaza at the Medical Center). Up to 2 pets per apartment are allowed with applicable pet fees and pet rent. Service animals and emotional support animals are always welcome at no additional charge.

Yes. The Elle Collection does not allow aggressive breeds, including (but not limited to) Akita, American Staffordshire Terrier/Bull Terrier (Pit Bull), Presa Canario, Chow Chow, Doberman Pinscher, German Shepherd, Great Dane, Husky and Malamute breeds, Rottweiler, and Wolf/restricted-breed mixes. Service animals are exempt from breed restrictions per the Fair Housing Act.

Yes. Service animals and emotional support animals (ESAs) are always welcome at The Elle Collection at no additional fee, deposit, or pet rent as required by the Fair Housing Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Documentation is required for ESAs.

The Elle Collection charges a non-refundable pet fee of approximately $400 per pet (one-time) plus monthly pet rent of approximately $25-$35 per pet. Two pets max per apartment. Service animals and emotional support animals are exempt from all pet fees per the Fair Housing Act.

Neighborhood

The Elle Collection is located in the Texas Medical Center / Astrodome submarket of southwest Houston (ZIP 77054). The neighborhood is anchored by the Texas Medical Center—the world's largest medical complex—and adjacent to NRG Stadium, Hermann Park, Brays Bayou, Rice University, and Houston's Museum District.

The Elle Collection is steps from Hermann Park, Houston Zoo, Miller Outdoor Theatre, the Houston Museum of Natural Science, NRG Stadium, Brays Bayou Greenway Trail, and the Texas Medical Center. The Houston Galleria, Rice Village, and Downtown Houston are all 10-20 minutes by car or METRORail.

The Elle Collection is within a 5- to 10-minute drive of Baylor College of Medicine, UTHealth Houston, Texas A&M Health Science Center, Rice University, University of Houston, Houston Methodist Academic Institute, and Texas Southern University. The Texas Medical Center itself houses more than 60 medical institutions.

The Elle Collection is exceptionally well-connected to Houston public transit. The Smith Lands METRORail Red Line station is conveniently situated about 0.2 miles away, providing direct rail service into the Texas Medical Center, Downtown Houston, and the Museum District.

Lease renewals at The Elle Collection are typically offered 60 to 90 days before lease expiration. You'll receive a renewal letter by email outlining the new rate and term options. To renew, reply to the renewal email, call the leasing office at (346) 519-7232, or stop by in person. Renewal documents are signed electronically through the resident portal.

Residents can submit a maintenance request at The Elle Collection 24/7 through the resident portal at liveellecollection.securecafe.com or via the resident mobile app.

Yes. Residents at The Elle Collection are eligible for the Greystar Resident Perks program. Discounts on moving (PODS, U-Haul), home goods (Wayfair, Costco), entertainment, travel, fitness memberships, food delivery, and more. The full catalog is accessible through the resident portal.
